On the 31st at 2:09 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical at a residence in Park Village, City of Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 31st at 6:06 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a medical issue at a residence on Lincoln Street, Atwater. The caller was transferred to Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.

On the 31st at 4:33 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a driving complaint on MN Highway 15 at County State Aid Highway 18, Collinwood Township. The information was passed on to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.

On the 31st at 4:47 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received information of possible criminal damage at a residence on 580th Avenue, Litchfield Township.

On the 31st at 5:05 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a dog complaint at a residence on 190th Street, Greenleaf Township. The deputy transported two stray male yellow Labradors to the dog pound.

On the 31st at 6:08 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, for a medical at a business on 93rd Avenue, Kimball. One individual was transported to St Cloud Hospital.

On the 31st at 8:11 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area of 185th Street and 750th Avenue, Collinwood Township.

On the 31st at 9:15 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on 315th Street, Forest City Township. The deputies made contact with several individuals and after investigation arrested Julie Ann Moen, age 46, of Arlington, on a charge of domestic assault.

On the 30th at 12:23 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a noise complaint at a residence on 3rd Street North, City of Dassel. The deputies made contact with both residents and mediated the situation and there were no further issues.

On the 30th at 12:36 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Litchfield Police Department with a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on South Davis Avenue, City of Litchfield.

On the 30th at 1:34 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a cellular 9-1-1 hang-up call at a residence on 255th Street, Litchfield Township. The deputies checked the residence and all was okay.

On the 30th at 2:08 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Litchfield Police Department in checking for an individual at a residence on 325th Street, Forest City Township.

On the 30th at 3:38 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a westbound driving complaint on 360th Street, Forest Prairie Township. The deputy checked the area and found that the vehicle had left prior to arrival.

On the 30th at 12:01 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Dassel Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical at a residence on 233rd Street, Dassel Township. A short time later Gold Cross Ambulance was cancelled; as it was a lift assist only.

On the 30th at 12:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from a business on 2nd Street North, Dassel.

On the 30th at 2:10 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of harassment at a residence on 3rd Street South, Grove City.

On the 30th at 5:06 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Dassel Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical at a residence on 229th Street, Dassel. One individual was assisted at the scene and no transport was needed.

On the 30th at 6:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office returned a wallet to its owner that was found at a business on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township.

On the 30th at 6:52 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Ambulance for a report of a fight at a business on Central Avenue North, City of Watkins. The deputies separated all parties with the assistance of the MN St Patrol and the Eden Valley Police Department and a report was filed.

On the 30th at 8:41 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a civil dispute at a residence on West Taurus Street, City of Cosmos. The deputy made contact with the residents who were advised options.

On the 29th at 12:00 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Litchfield Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical at a business on South Gilman Avenue, City of Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 29th at 4:27 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stray calf in the area of MN Highway 22, Litchfield Township. The deputy checked the area and found that the calf had left the area prior to arrival.

On the 29th at 6:36 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Dassel Rescue to a medical at a business on William Avenue East, Dassel. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 29th at 7:31 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a driving complaint on US Highway 12 at MN Highway 15, Dassel. The caller was transferred to MN State Patrol.

On the 29th at 7:35 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Litchfield Rescue to a medical at a residence on North Sibley Avenue, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 29th at 9:43 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to assist Eden Valley Police Department at a residence on Church Street South, Eden Valley. The deputy was cancelled prior to arrival.

On the 29th at 9:54 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Eden Valley Police Department at a residence on Church Street South, Eden Valley. A report was taken.

On the 29th at 1:31 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a civil issue at a residence on West Taurus Avenue, Cosmos. The deputy advised the individuals of their options.

On the 29th at 2:05 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a custody issue at a residence in Stearns County. The individual was advised to speak to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.

On the 29th at 2:10 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Dassel Rescue to a business on William Avenue East, Dassel. One individual was transported to Buffalo Hospital.

On the 29th at 2:36 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a dog complaint on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township. One female springer spaniel puppy was taken to the Meeker County pound.

On the 29th at 2:48 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence on County State Aid Highway 22, Danielson Township. No report.

On the 29th at 6:08 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car/deer accident near a residence on County State Aid Highway 20, Union Grove Township. The deputy located the injured deer which was put down.

On the 29th at 6:09 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, for a medical at a business on MN Highway 55 West, Kimball. The Watkins Ambulance was canceled prior to arrival.

On the 29th at 6:24 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Litchfield Police Department with a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on South Davis Avenue, Litchfield.

On the 29th at 6:33 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical at a residence on North Sibley Avenue, City of Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 29th at 6:45 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office to a report of a property damage accident at residence located on the 400 block on 3rd Street South in the City of Grove City. A truck towing a trailer was traveling eastbound on Ulla Avenue, when the trailer unhooked, jumped the curb, and struck the residence causing approximately $5,000 worth of damage. The owner of the residence was not home at the time of the accident. An accident report was filed.

On the 29th at 7:40 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance for a report of a property damage accident near the intersection of MN Highway 15 and County Road 147, Kimball. No transport was needed.

On the 29th at 8:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a residence on North Saturn Street, City of Cosmos. The deputies checked the residence and found all to be okay.

On the 29th at 9:32 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request to check the welfare of individuals at a residence on 180th Street, Collinwood Township. The deputies made contact with the homeowners who were found to be okay.

On the 28th at 7:52 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a lost portable fish house on US Highway 12, Acton Township. The information was documented.

On the 28th at 8:04 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched the Watkins Ambulance and the Eden Valley Rescue Squad to a medical in Stearns County. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital.

On the 28th at 9:36 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a found key at an address on 3rd Street North, Dassel. Upon arrival of the deputy, a set of keys was placed into evidence.

On the 28th at 9:39 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on 330th Street, Forest City Township. The information was documented.

On the 28th at 9:54 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on 590th Avenue, Cedar Mills Township. The information was documented.

On the 28th at 10:06 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of a burglary at a residence on East St Paul Street, Darwin.

On the 28th at 10:38 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a driving complaint on County State Aid Highway 6, Dassel Township. The deputy was out of position.

On the 28th at 11:07 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Eden Valley Police Department at an address on Meeker Avenue West, Eden Valley.

On the 28th at 2:17 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of threats at an address on North Saturn Street, Cosmos. Upon arrival of the deputy, the situation was mediated.

On the 28th at 2:23 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of a domestic at a residence on 2nd Street South, Grove City.

On the 28th at 3:53 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of unsafe conditions on Big Swan Lake, Kingston Township. The information was referred to the MN Department of Natural Resources.

On the 28th at 4:40 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on 3rd Street South, Grove City. The information was documented.

On the 28th at 6:24 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Litchfield Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical at a residence on East 1st Street, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 28th at 6:31 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, for a medical at a business on 93rd Avenue, Kimball. One individual was transported to St Cloud Hospital.

On the 28th at 7:01 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Paynesville Police Department with checking on an individual at a business on Meeker Avenue West, Eden Valley.

On the 28th at 7:14 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Eden Valley Police Department with an alarm at a business on Meeker Avenue West, Eden Valley.

On the 28th at 7:43 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a scam attempt at a residence on County State Aid Highway 18, Ellsworth Township.

On the 28th at 8:58 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, for a medical at a business on MN Highway 55 East, Kimball. One individual was treated at the scene, a transport was not needed.

Wednesday January 27, 2016

On the 27th at 3:25 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Litchfield Police Department at an address on North Sibley Avenue, Litchfield.

On the 27th at 7:47 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a driving complaint on MN Highway 24, Forest City Township. Upon arrival of the deputy the vehicle was gone.

On the 27th at 9:45 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office at an address on US Highway 12, Acton Township.

On the 27th at 11:32 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a residence on 748th Avenue, Kingston Township. Upon arrival of the deputy everything was okay.

On the 27th at 11:41 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a parking violation at an address on Atlantic Avenue West, Dassel. Upon arrival of the deputy everything was okay.

On the 27th at 11:51 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on County State Aid Highway 1, Litchfield Township. The information was documented.

On the 27th at 5:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a dog complaint at a residence on 362nd Street, Forest Prairie Township. A deputy responded and transported two male dogs to the Litchfield Dog Pound. The dogs were later released to their owner.

On the 27th at 6:27 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stalled vehicle on MN Highway 15, Collinwood Township. The vehicle was not a road hazard and the driver had a private tow on the way.

On the 27th at 6:34 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched the Grove City Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Kandi Meeker Road, Acton Township. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 27th at 6:56 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request to check the welfare of an individual at a residence on South Venus Street, Cosmos. No contact was made with the individual; however all was determined to be okay.

On the 27th at 8:06 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched the Eden Valley Rescue Squad, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, to a medical at a residence on 228th Street, Stearns County.

On the 27th at 9:13 p.m. a Sheriff’s Deputy observed an open door at a business on North Armstrong Avenue, Litchfield. All was found to be okay.

On the 27th at 10:01 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a driving complaint near the intersection of MN Highway 15 and US Highway 12, Dassel.

Tuesday January 26, 2016

On the 26th at 12:09 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical at an address on East 10th Street, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 26th at 4:00 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Litchfield Fire Department for a car fire at the intersection of North Litchfield Avenue and East 1st Street, Litchfield. There were no injuries and the vehicle was a total loss.

On the 26th at 6:39 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stalled vehicle on County State Aid Highway 19, Kingston Township. Upon arrival of the deputy the vehicle was towed.

On the 26th at 6:58 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an animal complaint on County State Aid Highway 11, Litchfield Township. Upon arrival of the deputy a deer possession tag was issued to an individual.

On the 26th at 8:27 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on County State Aid Highway 1, Litchfield Township. The information was documented.

On the 26th at 8:58 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Cosmos Police Department at an address on West Astro Boulevard, Cosmos. A report was created.

On the 26th at 9:04 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of an order for protection violation at a residence on 365th Street, Union Grove Township.

On the 26th at 9:12 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted another agency at an address on MN Highway 4, Grove City.

On the 26th at 11:28 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on 295th Street, Swede Grove Township. The information was documented.

On the 26th at 1:38 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of juvenile trouble at an address on North Saturn Street, Cosmos. Upon arrival of the deputy assistance was provided.

On the 26th at 2:26 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office issued a deer possession tag to an individual on US Highway 12, Darwin Township.

On the 26th at 2:39 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of juvenile trouble at an address on North Saturn Street, Cosmos. Upon arrival of the deputy assistance was provided.

On the 26th at 2:59 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted another agency at an address on North Ramsey Avenue, Litchfield.

On the 26th at 4:42 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Litchfield Police Department at a residence on South Litchfield Avenue, Litchfield.

On the 26th at 6:04 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request for a deer possession tag along US Highway 12 near County State Aid Highway 24, Darwin Township. Upon arrival of the deputy the MN State Patrol was on the scene and issued the tag.

On the 26th at 6:47 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Kandiyohi Sheriff’s Office with locating a missing person possibly along US Highway 12 near the Kandi Meeker Road, Acton Township. A short time later the deputy was cancelled, as the individual was located and everything was okay.

On the 26th at 8:58 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance for a medical at an address on Western Avenue North, Watkins. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital.

On the 26th at 9:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office arrested, Adam Keith Rossberg, age 23, of Litchfield, on a Meeker County warrant for failure to appear for arraignment.

Monday, January 25, 2016

Over the course of the day, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a total of ten (10) reported scam attempts; all supposed calls from the IRS claiming the victim owes back taxes and demanded immediate payment. In each case, the victims didn’t provide any money or information and were not out any funds. Residents are reminded to beware of this scam that is targeting the Meeker County area.

On the 25th at 12:54 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Litchfield Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical at a residence on 655th Avenue, Darwin Township. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 25th at 7:32 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a property damage accident on CSAH 14, Ellsworth Township. There were no injuries reported.

On the 25th at 8:00 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the MN State Patrol at a property damage accident on US Highway 12, Litchfield Township. There were no injuries reported.

On the 25th at 9:10 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Central Avenue South, Watkins. The ambulance was canceled a short time later.

On the 25th at 9:32 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted an individual at a residence on 173rd Street, Collinwood Township, with some questions about selling a vehicle.

On the 25th at 10:35 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vulnerable adult at an address on William Avenue East, Dassel.

On the 25th at 3:03 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took information on harassment at a residence on Meeker Avenue North, Watkins. The individual was advised of their options.

On the 25th at 6:37 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at address on MN Highway 24, Forest City Township. Upon arrival the deputy found everything to be okay.

On the 25th at 6:56 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of unsafe conditions at an address on County State Aid Highway 19, Kingston Township.

On the 25th at 7:28 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car/deer accident at an address on County State Aid Highway 19, Kingston Township. There were no injuries and the deer had left the area prior to the deputy’s arrival.

On the 25th at 7:43 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and contacted the MN State Patrol for a vehicle in the ditch along MN Highway 7 near 560th Avenue, Cosmos Township. Upon arrival of the deputy there was no one at the scene and the deputy located the victims at the Casey’s General Store in Cosmos. A short time later Cosmos Ambulance was dispatched and one individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 25th at 9:25 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office, per the request of Stearns County, dispatched Watkins Ambulance for a medical at an address on MN State Highway 15, Kimball. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital.

On the 25th at 10:29 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch along County State Aid Highway 11, Acton Township. There were no injuries and the deputy stood by while the vehicle was pulled out from the ditch.

On the 25th at 10:56 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office, per the request of Stearns County, dispatched Watkins Ambulance for a medical at an address on Linden Avenue East, Kimball. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital.

On the 25th at 10:58 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Watkins Rescue for medical at an address on Luella Street, Watkins. Prior to arrival the ambulance was cancelled due to an accidental medical alarm being activated.
