On the 11th at 12:48 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request to check the welfare of an individual at a residence on Pacific Avenue West, City of Dassel. The deputy checked the residence and did not locate anyone at home. The individual was located by family a short time later and they were okay.

On the 11th at 12:49 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of an unwanted individual at a residence on North Jupiter Street, City of Cosmos.

On the 11th at 2:59 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted an individual stranded at a residence on County State Aid Highway 26, Cedar Mills Township, with a ride to Cosmos.

On the 11th at 5:17 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of harassment at a residence on North Jupiter Street, City of Cosmos. The deputy made contact with the homeowner who was advised options.

On the 11th at 2:02 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of threats at an address on Maple Lane, Grove City.

On the 11th at 2:56 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious person on 670th Avenue, Forest City Township. Upon arrival the deputy spoke to an individual who was collecting agates from the gravel road.

On the 11th at 3:01 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft from an address on County State Aid Highway 18, Collinwood Township.

On the 11th at 6:02 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted with a custody exchange on East US Highway 12, City of Darwin.

On the 11th at 7:48 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted Hutchinson Police Department at the Meeker Memorial Hospital by retrieving items from an individual.

On the 11th at 8:08 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a driving complaint in the area of County State Aid Highway 1 and 250th Street, Litchfield Township.

On the 11th at 9:08 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a car/deer accident near the intersection of MN Highway 15 and 278th Street, Dassel Township. The deputy assisted with traffic control while a private tow removed the disabled vehicle from the roadway and also issued a deer possession tag to a third party for the dead deer.

On the 11th at 9:46 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a found bicycle at a residence on Parker Avenue West, City of Dassel. The deputy recovered a women’s purple Roadmaster 18 speed bicycle for safekeeping until the owner can be located.

On the 11th at 10:40 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request to check the welfare of an individual at a residence on 520th Avenue, Danielson Township. The deputies checked the residence and property and determined no one to be home.

On the 11th at 11:42 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office observed an open door at a property on 520th Avenue, Danielson. The deputies checked the property and building and found no damage and secured the door.

On the 10th at 12:53 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm on MN Highway 4, City of Grove City. The deputies checked the building and made contact with several individuals who were authorized to be there and all was okay.

On the 10th at 7:04 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at an address on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township. Upon arrival the deputy found everything to be okay.

On the 10th at 7:45 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of suspicious activity at an address on 705th Avenue, Collinwood Township.

On the 10th at 9:40 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a civil complaint at an address on West US Highway 12, Darwin. Upon arrival the deputy mediated the situation and advised of options.

On the 10th at 5:37 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at an address on MN Highway 15, Dassel. Upon arrival the deputy found everything to be okay.

On the 10th at 6:53 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request to check the welfare of an individual on County State Aid Highway 1, Litchfield Township. The deputy made contact with an individual out walking and assisted in giving them a ride back home.

On the 10th at 8:08 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence on North 1st Street, City of Darwin. The deputy made contact with the homeowner and observed no damage to their vehicle and advised them of options for future occurrences.

On the 10th at 10:53 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office was flagged down about a lost dog from a residence on Lindstrom Avenue East, City of Grove City. The deputy checked the area and was able to locate the dog and return it to its owner.

On the 10th at 11:18 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of unsafe conditions on 2nd Street South, City of Grove City. The deputy checked the railroad crossing and found that the crossing arms were functioning properly and BNSF Railroad was advised.

On the 10th at 11:43 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a noise complaint at a residence on Meeker-Stearns Street, Forest Prairie Township. The deputy made contact with the homeowner who was advised of the complaint to keep the volume down and given a warning.

On the 9th at 11:01 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of trespassing at an address on West US Highway 12, Darwin.

On the 9th at 11:48 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from an address on William Avenue West, Dassel.

On the 9th at 12:01 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report on a dog complaint at an address on County State Aid Highway 27, Kingston. A dangerous dog packet was also issued.

On the 9th at 12:39 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a dog complaint at an address on William Avenue East, Dassel. Upon arrival the deputy located the owner and returned the dog.

On the 9th at 2:44 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to check for an individual, per the request of the Cold Spring Police Department, at a residence on 295th Street, Forest City Township. The deputy found no answer at the home and a message was left.

On the 9th at 6:43 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a found coin purse on Atlantic Avenue West, City of Grove City. The deputy placed the found property into evidence until an owner can be located.

On the 9th at 7:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a business on 2nd Street North, Dassel. The area was checked and the cause for concern could not be located.

On the 9th at 8:15 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to possible fishing violations near a residence on County State Aid Highway 18, Collinwood Township. The deputy located a DNR vehicle and trailer at the lake access and that agents were working on the lake.

On the 9th at 8:33 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible drunk driver near a residence on 525th Avenue, Swede Grove Township. The deputy checked the area and the vehicle could not be located.

On the 9th at 10:50 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a car/deer accident that occurred on US Highway 12, Dassel Township. The deputy made contact with the driver, observed significant front end damage to the vehicle, and the driver was advised options.

On the 8th at 7:11 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of a two-vehicle property damage accident near the intersection of 240th Street and 738th Avenue, Dassel Township. No injuries were reported.

On the 8th at 8:04 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stalled vehicle on County State Aid Highway 4, Dassel Township. The vehicle was off the roadway and not a hazard.

On the 8th at 8:15 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office placed a female Coon Hound/Beagle type dog with black leather collar into the Litchfield Dog Pound. The dog was found by a resident on 335th Street, Kingston Township.

On the 8th at 8:49 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity near a business on Atlantic Avenue West, Dassel.

On the 8th at 8:56 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a lost weed whip somewhere along County State Aid Highway 1, Litchfield Township.

On the 8th at 9:39 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of threats made via text message at a residence on 351st Street, Manannah.

On the 8th at 10:27 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of a theft from a boat at a residence on 746th Avenue, Collinwood Township.

On the 8th at 11:47 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request to check the welfare of an individual at a residence on 675th Avenue, Forest City Township. No contact was made at the residence.

On the 8th at 12:07 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity near a business on 3rd Street North, Dassel. The vehicle was no longer in the parking lot upon the deputy’s arrival.

On the 8th at 12:14 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on West McKinney Street, Darwin.

On the 8th at 12:49 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft at a business on Parker Avenue West, Dassel.

On the 8th at 1:27 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft from a business on Parker Avenue West, Dassel.

On the 8th at 2:17 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on 708th Avenue, Dassel Township.

On the 8th at 3:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a driving complaint on North 1st Street, Darwin. The deputy spoke with both parties in regards to the complaint.

On the 8th at 3:50 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched the Litchfield Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical at a residence on West 4th Street, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 8th at 4:36 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Luella Street, Watkins. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

On the 8th at 4:58 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a dog complaint at a residence on 268th Street, Dassel Township. A male Springer Spaniel mix with a black collar was transported to the Litchfield Dog Pound.

On the 8th at 7:12 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Litchfield Police Department at a residence on South Sibley Avenue, Litchfield. Litchfield Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 8th at 7:36 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle at a residence on Parker Avenue East, Dassel. The deputy found that the vehicle was no longer in the area.

On the 8th at 8:10 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence on South Comet Street, Cosmos. The individual was advised of their options.

On the 8th at 8:52 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted Stearns County in trying to locate a suicidal male at a residence on 315th Street, Forest City Township. It was determined that the individual was no longer in Meeker County.

On the 8th at 11:33 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from an address on Parker Avenue West, Dassel.

On the 7th at 4:15 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an animal complaint on US Highway 12, Litchfield Township. Upon arrival of the deputies, the cows were gone.

On the 7th at 6:30 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious individual near the intersection of County State Aid Highway 27 and 722nd Avenue, Kingston. The individual was no longer in the area upon the deputy’s arrival.

On the 7th at 6:46 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an animal complaint at a residence on US Highway 12, Harvey Township. The cows were rounded up by their owner.

On the 7th at 9:15 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a residence on 218th Street, Collinwood Township. All was found to be okay on arrival.

On the 7th at 10:53 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a business on North Sibley Avenue, Litchfield. All was found to be okay.

On the 7th at 11:49 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a dog complaint at a business on William Avenue East, Dassel. The deputy returned the dog to its owner and warned them on dog at large.

On the 7th at 12:25 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of criminal damage to property at a residence on 640th Avenue, Ellsworth Township.

On the 7th at 12:42 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched the Cosmos Fire Department to a fire alarm at a business on North Saturn Street, Cosmos. Both were canceled prior to arrival, as it was a false alarm.

On the 7th at 1:21 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on 4th Street South, Grove City.

On the 7th at 1:31 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of a stolen vehicle at a business on Atlantic Avenue East, Dassel.

On the 7th at 2:40 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the public at a residence on East Curran Street, Darwin.

On the 7th at 3:23 p.m. a Sheriff’s Deputy came across a stalled vehicle near the intersection of 260th Street and 670th Avenue, Darwin Township. The driver had stopped to use a cell phone and all was okay.

On the 7th at 3:38 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a scam attempt at a residence on 586th Avenue, Greenleaf Township.

On the 7th at 5:04 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the MN State Patrol at a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of MN Highway 15 and County State Aid Highway 27, Kingston Township.

On the 7th at 5:22 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Wright County Sheriff’s Office in trying to locate an individual at a residence on 673rd Avenue, Ellsworth Township.

On the 6th at 4:28 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at an address on MN Highway 15, Collinwood Township. Upon arrival of the deputy, everything was secure.

On the 6th at 6:29 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched the Litchfield Fire Department to an electrical fire at a residence on 285th Street, Harvey Township. The fire department was able to pull a fuse to correct the issue before any damage occurred.

On the 6th at 8:48 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft from a vehicle at a residence on East St. Paul Street, Darwin.

On the 6th at 9:28 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of mailbox damage at a residence on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township.

On the 6th at 10:01 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a stolen trailer and two stolen motorcycles from alongside County State Aid Highway 16, Harvey Township.

On the 6th at 10:29 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a scam attempt at a residence on 3rd Street South, Grove City.

On the 6th at 11:52 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a driving complaint on County State Aid Highway 34, Forest City Township. The deputy searched the area and the vehicle was no longer in the area.

On the 6th at 1:12 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity near a business on 4th Street South, Grove City.

On the 6th at 3:07 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the public at a residence on CSAH 19, Kingston.

On the 6th at 5:35 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a runaway from a residence on 325th Street. The runaway returned while the deputy was taking the report.

On the 6th at 6:05 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of possible tampering with a mailbox at a residence on 738th Avenue, Dassel Township.

On the 6th at 10:05 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received to a report of trespassing at a residence on Cedar Avenue North, Watkins.

On the 7th at 11:35 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched the Gold Cross Ambulance and Litchfield Rescue Squad to a medical at a residence on 608th Avenue, Litchfield Township. One individual was transported to the Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 5th at 12:26 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a business on MN Highway 55, Watkins. The deputy was canceled prior to arrival due to a false alarm.

On the 5th at 2:36 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a business on MN Highway 22, Litchfield Township. The deputies checked the building and property and found everything to be secure.

On the 5th at 5:41 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched the Litchfield Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical at a residence on 325th Street, Forest City Township. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 5th at 5:50 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of child maltreatment at a residence on Simons Avenue West, Dassel.

On the 5th at 7:07 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alarm at a business on 2nd Street North, Dassel. The deputy was canceled due to a false alarm.

On the 5th at 7:41 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received an animal complaint on 288th Street, Forest City Township. The deputy was unable to locate the animal.

On the 5th at 11:29 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the public on Lake Stella.

On the 5th at 12:34 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a burglary at a residence on East William Street, Darwin.

On the 5th at 1:18 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a driving complaint on West US Highway 12, Darwin. The deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.

On the 5th at 1:34 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office arrested Joseph Raymond Huhn, age 35, Darwin, on a McLeod County warrant at a residence on North 2nd Street, Darwin.

On the 5th at 3:53 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from a vehicle on Guy Street, Dassel.

On the 5th at 4:16 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft at a residence on 199th Street, Greenleaf Township.

On the 5th at 4:32 p.m. a Meeker County deputy issued a warning for illegal fireworks at a residence on 1st Street North, Dassel.

On the 5th at 4:56 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a driving complaint west bound on Veterans Drive, Watkins. The deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.

On the 5th at 7:25 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a hit-and-run at an address on County State Aid Highway 3, Manannah Township. The deputy advised the individual of his options.

On the 5th at 7:49 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an alarm at an address on 1st Street North, Dassel. The deputy arrived to find it was a false alarm.

On the 5th at 8:05 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a property damage accident on 230th Street, Darwin Township.

On the 5th at 8:20 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched the Allina Ambulance and Dassel Rescue Squad to a medical at a residence on 708th Avenue, Collinwood Township. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital.

On the 5th at 10:59 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a driving complaint on US Highway 12, Dassel Township. The deputy warned the driver.

On the 5th at 11:42 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence on 271st Street, Litchfield Township. The deputy was unable to locate the cause for concern.
