Local students on dean’s lists
Emily Haag, a 2006 Delano High School graduate, was named to the dean’s list for fall semester at St. Thomas University in St. Paul. Emily is a sophomore at St. Thomas, majoring in education. Emily’s parents, Joe and Linda, and her sister, Angela, all of Delano are proud of her accomplishments.
Local students receive scholarships
Katherine Stevens, daughter of Jon and Brenda Stevens of Delano, was recently awarded a fine arts scholarship in the area of music at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. She was also awarded the Presidential Scholarship for the 2008-09 school year, valued at $26,000 over four years, based on high school grade point average and national standardized test scores. Katherine is a senior at Delano Senior High School.
Mackenzie Forcier, daughter of Robert and Kathryn Forcier of Delano, was recently awarded the Presidential Scholarship for the 2008-09 school year at Bethany Lutheran College. This scholarship, valued at $26,000 over four years, is based on high school grade point average and national standardized test scores. Mackenzie is a senior at Delano Senior High School.
Birth: Emma Marie Marzean
Jesse and Jill Marzean of Montrose are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Marie Marzean, Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Buffalo Hospital. Emma weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces, and measured 20.25 inches long.
