Local students graduate college

Matthew Boelter of Waverly graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice from Minnesota State University in Moorhead May 9. He is a graduate of Delano Senior High School.

Weisenburger to tour with choir

Nicole Weisenburger, daughter of Bryon and LuAnn Weisenburger of Lester Prairie, will be participating in a spring tour of the midwest with the concert choir, handbell choir, Mary Martha Singers, and string ensemble from Bethany Lutheran College. The tour will conclude with a concert Wednesday, May 28 at 7 p.m. in Trinity Chapel on the Bethany campus. The concert is free and open to the public. A free will offering will be collected during the concert.

Local students on dean’s lists

Alleece Miller of Howard Lake was recently named to the Department of Business and Economics graduating senior honor roll at the University of Wisconsin in Superior, Wis. May 2, where she is majoring in accounting and business administration with a concentration in management.

Birth: Louden Thayne Neil Johnson

Thayne and Kelly Johnson of Winsted are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Louden Thayne Neil Johnson, Saturday, May 3, 2008. Louden weighed 9 pounds 1 ounce, and measured 20.5 inches long. He is welcomed home by his sister, Mallory.

Proud grandparents are Roger and Karen Wollum of Canby, and Byron and Paulette Johnson of Hector.

Birth: Tyler Lee Halloran

Andy and Heather Halloran of Waverly are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Tyler Lee Halloran, Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at the Buffalo Hospital. Tyler weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces, and measured 19 inches long.

Birth: Shayne Elmer Poppler

Harlan and Jenny Poppler are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Shayne Elmer Poppler, Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Buffalo Hospital. Shayne weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces, and measured 20 inches long.
