Odilia (Della) Helena Knoll, age 70 of Silver Lake, died of cancer, Nov. 26, 1997 at the Glencoe Area Health Center Long Term Care.
Della Knoll was born Nov. 17, 1927 in Victor Township, Wright County, the daughter of Albert and Helena (Kieser) Loebertmann. She graduated from Holy Trinity High School.
She married Damis Knoll on June 2, 1952. Her interests included bird watching, gardening, latch hooking, and embroidery.
She was a housewife and was also employed at Tonka Toys for several years until it closed and then worked at the Silver Lake Hatchery until she retired. A member of the Holy Family Church East, she was active in CCW.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church East, Silver Lake. The Rev. Bob Mraz officiated. Alice Nowak provided music, playing "Amazing Grace," "Be Not Afraid," "On Eagles' Wings," and "Sing of Mary."
Interment was in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Silver Lake. Pallbearers were Shawn Knoll, Scott Lorentz, Bill Loebertmann, Doug Loebertmann, Larry Wanous and Robert Mochinski.
Surviving her are children: John and Celia Knoll of Lester Prairie; David and Sue Knoll of Silver Lake; Bruce and Helen Lorentz of Lester Prairie; Michael Knoll of Silver Lake and Scott and Ella Schmidt of Arlington and 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Surviving relatives also include brothers and sisters: Marion Loebertmann of Silver Lake; Benedict and Elizabeth Mochinske of Winsted; Joseph Loebertmann of Waverly, Clement Loebertmann of Browerville, Minn., Edmund Snegoski of Lester Prairie, Harold Reardon of Waverly, Dennis and Rosemary Reardon of Waverly, Tridolin (Fritz) and Lucille Olberding of Overland Park, Ks., Albert and Margaret Loebertmann of Shakopee, Lucille Kielty of Kimball.
Further surviving her are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Vera Knoll Donnay of Watkins, Richard and Joyce Knoll of Cokato, Rose Wanous of Cokato; LeRoy and Marian Knoll of Biscay, Carol and Larry Walz of Brownton, and Elmer and Bernice Retzlaff of Cosmos.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Damis; parents, Albert and Helena Loebertmann; brothers: Leo Loebertmann and Mark Loebertmann; sisters: Florentine Snegosky, Rita Reardon; sister-in-law, Rosanne Loebertmann and brother-in-law, Clements Knoll.
Maresh Funeral Chapel were in charge of the arrangements.
