LeRoy Jerome Sinkel obituary


LeRoy Jerome Sinkel, age 69 of Delano, died Friday, Nov.
21, 1997 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
LeRoy was born Feb. 11, 1928 in Independence, Minn. to
John A. and Ruth (Pearson) Sinkel. He was married to Patricia M. Dressel.
LeRoy was active in Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, a Korean
War veteran, member of the Delano American Legion and the Delano Fire Department.
LeRoy is survived by his wife Pat; three sons, Craig (Gail),
David (Penny), and Dan (Tammy); daughter Joni (Ron) Socher, all of Delano;
10 grandchildren, Aimee, Shannon, Alex, Leah, Joey, Bryan, and Ashley Sinkel,
Tanya, Jaime, and Cody Socher; sister Joyce (Jim) Janicula; brother Winslow
(Sheila), all of Delano; sister-in-law Marie Sinkel.
Visitation was at the Iten Funeral Home Monday, Nov. 24
from 4 – 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation was also for
one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. at Mt.
Olive Lutheran Church, Delano with the Rev. David E. Bode officiating. Music
was by Carol Wendorff, organist, with congregational singing.
Interment was in East Mt. Olive Cemetery in Delano. Military
honors were by Delano American Legion Post #377. Pallbearers were Tom Sinkel,
Gary Janicula, Len Schaust, Ambrose Motzko, Jon Hanson, Warren Magnuson,
Swede Swenson, Art Zitzloff, Rich Ditty, LeRoy Moonen.
