Helen M. Anderson, age 90 years, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998 at the Ebenezer Covenant Home.
She was born in Centerville Township, Anoka County, Minn. Feb. 28, 1907, the daughter of John and Bertha Nord Lundgren. On Aug. 24, 1926, Helen Marie Lundgren was joined in holy marriage to Arthur E. Anderson in St. Paul, Minn.
Helen was a long time resident of St. Paul and belonged to the former Messiah Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Eileen (Norman) Klammer of Waverly and Lois (Mario) Maritato of Somers, Wisc.; a daughter-in-law, Carole Anderson of St. Paul; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Ann Fitch of New Brighton; sisters-in-law, Peggy Lundgren of Shoreview, Gladys Anderson of White Bear Lake, and Ruth Anderson of Forest Lake; a brother-in-law, Albert Anderson of Baudette.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, a sister, her husband Arthur E. Anderson and son Willard Anderson, both having died in 1988 ; and by a great-great-grandchild, Amy Lynn.
Friends called at the church Friday, Jan. 30 one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral services for Helen Anderson were Friday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Incarnation Lutheran Church in Shoreview, Minn. The Rev. David Lillejord officiated and interment followed at the Incarnation Cemetery.
"The Old Rugged Cross," On Eagle's Wings," and "Children of the Heavenly Father" were sung as congregational hymns.
Bob, Tom, and John Anderson, Mark Klammer, Shawn Stoll, and Ben Maritato served as the casket bearers.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
