John Edward Bobrowske was born June 1, 1908 in Middleville Township of Wright County, Minn., to Carl and Anna (Lampert) Bobrowske. He grew up on the family farm in Middleville Township. John was baptized June 28, 1908 by the Rev. William Meyer, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and was confirmed there May 13, 1923 by the Rev. Alfred Streunfert.
On May 29, 1932, John was united in marriage to Anna Uecker, by the Rev. William Kanning at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. To this union two children were born, Ardis and Kenneth. The family made their home on the farm in Albion Township where John and Anna stayed until 1978 when they retired and moved to Howard Lake.
John passed away at the Howard Lake Good Samaritan Center, Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998. He had reached the age of 89 years, seven months and 26 days.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years Anna, son Kenneth and his wife Gloria of Howard Lake, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law, Mildred and Eva Bobrowske.
John was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Ardis Knesting who died in 1967, two children who died in infancy, and two brothers.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Annandale with the Rev. Gary W. Berlinski officiating. Music was by Ruth Goerke.
Interment was in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Annandale. Casket bearers were Kenneth Knesting, Kurt Bobrowske, David Knesting, Keith Bobrowske, Eugene Kalway and Robert Zeidler.
Arrangements were by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home, Howard Lake and Cokato.
