Evelyn Bernice Bobrowske
Evelyn Bernice Bobrowske, age 60, died on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998.
Evelyn was born at home on Nov. 3, 1938 in Middleville Township of Wright County, Minn. to Elmer and Mildred Bobrowske. She grew up on the family farm in Middleville Township.
She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
In 1956, Evelyn graduated from Howard Lake High School and was salutatorian of her class. She taught Sunday school for 25 years. She also taught vacation Bible school and was active in Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
Evelyn worked at Gamble's in St. Louis Park, the Feedstore Restaurant in Cokato, and Dura Supreme in Howard Lake.
In the summer of 1949, polio changed Evelyn's life and she would endure five back surgeries. She also courageously battled cancer since 1995.
Our dear Evelyn passed away at North Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Center, having reached the age of 60 years and eight days.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred; sisters, Shirley (Ed) Schmidt of Minnetonka and Janice (Seymour) of St. Louis Park; two nephews: Tom (Michele) Schmidt and Gary (Heidi) Schmidt; one niece, Kathy (Mark) Rasmussen; and one grandniece, Haley Joy Schmidt.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, Elmer, who died in 1975.
Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, 2 p.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Annandale, with the Rev. Stron officiating. Music was by Ruth Goerke.
Casket bearers were Gene Uecker, Tom Schmidt, Mark Rasmussen, Kenneth Bobrowske, Gary Schmidt, and Mike Elfmann. Interment was in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.
