Kenneth D. Dalbec, age 65 of Hutchinson, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Kenneth was born to Henry and Ida (Barfknecht) Dalbec in Delano, Minn., Oct. 16, 1932.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; parents, Henry and Ida Dalbec; and brother, LeRoy.
He is survived by spouse, Marjorie; two sons, Kevin (Juliene) of Silver Lake, Douglas (Britt) of Mayer; five daughters, Nancy Snyder of Maple Grove, Mary (Ken) Handt of Montrose, Sue (Jerry) Weinzierl of Mayer, Kathleen (Annie) (David) Mettenberg of Fredericksburg, Va., Julie Dalbec of St. Bonifacius; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandsons, Addison, Gabriel and Mitchell; four brothers, Gordon, Harvey, Robert, and Larry; two sisters, Joyce Anderson and Judy Schliinz.
Visitation was Sunday from 3 - 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continued Monday morning from 8 - 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Delano, with the Rev. William F. Martin officiating.
Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Eric Handt, Matthew Handt, Anthony Dalbec, Aaron Dalbec, Marvin Jerde, and Mary Dalbec.
Honorary bearers were Angela Thompson, Nichole Huls, Amy Weinzierl, Jake Dalbec, Laura Snyder, Angus Dalbec, Haley Dalbec, Conor Mettenberg, Madisyn Mettenberg, and Josh Anthony.
