Mass of Christian Burial for Delores J. Donnay, 71, of Glencoe was held Thursday, June 25, from the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, with the Rev. Eugene Lozinski officiating.
Mrs. Donnay died on Tuesday, June 23, 1998
Organist was Emily Wilkins, and the song leader was Joanne Pohland. The congregational hymns were "Here I Am Lord," "On Eagle's Wings," "Come To Her Aid" and "We Walk By Faith."
Pallbearers were Ronald Maresh, Victor Donnay, Tony Jesme, Kenneth Donnay, LeRoy Donnay, Bill Harens, Steven Donnay and Joseph Donnay. Interment was in the Glencoe Catholic Cemetery.
Delores J. Johnson was born to Arthur M. and Adeline (Betker) Johnson on Feb. 14, 1927, in Minneapolis.
She was united in marriage with Gerald Donnay on June 18, 1949, at the St. John's Catholic Church in Excelsior. The couple made their home on a farm in rural Glencoe. In 1969, they moved to their home in Glencoe.
Mrs. Donnay was a member of the Church of St. Pius X and its St. Anne's group. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and reading. She took pride in her home and liked flower and vegetable gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald, of Glencoe; children, Margaret Donnay of Willmar, Gary Donnay and wife, Rose Mary, of Eyota, Gloria Donnay of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Joseph and Steven Donnay of Rochester; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Victor Donnay and wife, MaryLou, of Glencoe, Betty Harens and husband, Bill, of Gaylord, Lorraine Seemann and husband, Clarence, of Winsted, Carol Maresh and husband, Ronald, of Glencoe; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Philip.
The Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel of Glencoe handled arrangements.
