Lois Maxine Erickson
Lois Maxine (Bigelow) Erickson, age 72 of Howard Lake, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia, Minn. with all of her children and her loving husband Raydon by her side.
Lois was born in Pierpont, S.D. on June 18, 1926 to Dexter Aubrey and Marcella Viola (Gorman) Bigelow.
She married Raydon Duane Erickson on May 14, 1947. For eight years, they made their home in Webster, S.D. In 1955, Ray and Lois moved to Minnesota, living west of Howard Lake until 1963 when they moved into the city of Howard Lake, their present residence.
Lois is survived by her husband Raydon, five sons: Duane R. and wife Jerrilyn; Richard A. and wife Cynthia; Rodney M.; Lester E. and wife Nancy; and Jeffrey L; five daughters: Echo R. and husband James Barth; Dawn M. and husband Douglas Ward; Marsha J. and husband Thomas Kutz; LuAnn E. Erickson; and Michele S. and husband Roger Miller; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Juel G. Erickson.
Funeral services for Lois were Friday, Oct. 16, 2 p.m., at St. Mary's Church of Waverly with the Rev. William Martin officiating. Music was by Patricia Munson and St. Mary's Funeral Choir. Interment was at Howard Lake Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Matthew Barth, Bryan Erickson, Paul Paradis III, David Erickson, Mickal Erickson, and Noel Kutz. Honorary casket bearers were James Blackstone and Lois' remaining grandchildren.
