Gary T. Guethling
Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998 for Gary T. Guethling, age 54 of Waconia. He died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Gary was born April 8, 1944 at Waconia, the son of Theodore J. and Lucille A (Neumann) Guethling. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carver on April 30, 1944 by the Rev. Edwin Burdorf, and confirmed on March 30, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran by the Rev. John W. Stehr.
He married Marjorie A. Knorr on May 7, 1966 at Zion Lutheran Church, Benton Township, Cologne by the Rev. John Melchert.
Gary was engaged in farming with his father from the time he was a little boy. Along with farming, he also enjoyed giving hay and sleigh rides at Rock Isle Farms.
Recently, after he quit milking, he was employed at D. and J. Furniture. He was, however, happiest in his fields on the farm and doing things for other people.
Gary is survived by his wife Marge; sons, Michael Guethling of Waconia and Cory Guethling of Racine, Wis.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Marlin Born of Waconia and Judy and David Eggers of Minnetonka; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alice and Grover Knorr of Waconia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Barb Knorr of Cologne, Larry and Charlene Knorr of Waconia, and LaVonne Peters of Waconia; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Lucille Guethling; and brothers-in-law, James Peters and Paul Knorr.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia with the Revs. Dean E. Mahlum and Peter Peitsch officiating. Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waconia.
Casket bearers were Ward Holasek, Scott Klaustermeier, Harlan Lemke, Donald Krautbauer, Marvin Straus, Darrel Sudheimer, Lee Goetz, Loren Anderson, Donald Vanderlinde, and Lyle Goetz.
