Rose Mary Habisch obituary 12/11/98


Rose Mary Habisch, age 87, formerly of Waverly, died Friday
evening, Dec. 11, 1998 at the Delano Healthcare Center.
Rose was born in Winsted Township, McLeod County on Sept.
28, 1911, the daughter of Arthur and Magdalena Gill Remer.
On Oct. 21, 1930, she was joined in holy marriage to Leo
J. Habisch in St. Paul, Minn. God blessed their marriage with four children:
Delores, Leon, Lucy, and Geri. Leo preceded his wife in death in 1988.
Rose was a faithful member of the Church of St. Mary in
Waverly. She worked for many years at Tonka Toys in Mound and, later, at
Lakeside Industries in Blooming-ton.
Rose is survived by her children: Delores H. Kieser of
Montrose, Leon A. (Kathy) Habisch of Montrose, Lucy S. Rehmann of Howard
Lake, and Geri I. Jacques of Delano; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren,
and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by sisters, Ann Westrup of Winsted
and Louise Klingelhoets of Brooklyn Park; nieces, nephews, and many other
relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband Leo, Rose was preceded in death
by her parents, an infant daughter, Elaine; a grandson, Mike Habisch; a
great-grandson, Chad Gabrelcik; son-in-law, Clemens J. Kieser; and four
brothers: John “Hans” Remer, Steve Remer, Clemens Remer,and Anthony
Remer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose was Wednesday, Dec.
16, at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly with the Rev. Paul L. Wolf as the
celebrant. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted on
Tuesday, Dec. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. and also at the church on Wednesday, Dec.
16 from noon until the time of the mass. A prayer service was held at the
chapel Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Kelly Rehmann, Michelle Rehmann, Julie Lange, Christine
Stueven, Cheryl Rehmann, Debora Wiest, Chersti Maas, and Stacey Maas served
as honorary casket bearers.
Active casket bearers were Dennis Kieser, Peter Jacques,
Rick Habisch, Dean Jacques, Ryan Jacques, Jeff Habisch, and Greg Rehmann.
