Keith Kenneth Helmbrecht
Keith Kenneth Helmbrecht, age 47 of Winsted, died early Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998 at his residence.
He was born in Watertown on Sept. 11, 1951, the son of Kenneth and Marilyn Quast Helmbrecht. Keith was raised on a farm near Winsted.
On April 29, 1972, Keith Helmbrecht was joined in holy marriage to Joyce Habisch at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four children: Ryan, Tara, Jennifer and Aaron.
As a young man, Keith started working with Habisch Construction and eventually took over the company when Carl Habisch retired. Keith has worked for the past five years at Littfin Lumber Company. He also worked part-time at Payco Seed Company.
Keith loved hunting, fishing, camping, and trapping. He especially enjoyed his family and his grandchild very much.
In his spare time, Keith liked to build things. He completely remodeled his home and built a deck around the swimming pool.
Survivors include his wife Joyce M. Helmbrecht, children: Ryan Helmbrecht and special friend, Kelly; Tara Helmbrecht and special friend, Garner; Jennifer Helmbrecht and Aaron Helmbrecht, all of Winsted; a grandson, Zachary Diers; his mother, Marilyn Helmbrecht of Winsted; brothers, Loren (Kimberly) Helmbrecht of Howard Lake, Leon Helmbrecht, Joseph (Susan) Helmbrecht; all of Winsted; a sister, Joann (Dale) Lachermeier of Lester Prairie; grandmothers, Ida Quast Roufs and Caroline Helmbrecht, both of Winsted; and his mother-in-law, Helen Habisch of Winsted.
He is further survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bernadine Habisch, Rosemary Zitzloff and friend Orlin, Dorothy Weigert and friend Terry, Mildred (Earl) Kennard, Robert Habisch, Linda Habisch, Joan (Jerry) Olson, Charles Habisch and friend Lori, James Habisch; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Helmbrecht on Sept. 1, 1991; grandfathers, Louis Helmbrecht and Andrew Quast; father-in-law, Carl Habisch; and brothers-in-law, Richard Habisch and Edward Zitzloff.
Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Dec. 22, 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the celebrant and Lavon Kielkucki was the organist for the mass. Interment followed at the parish cemetery.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 21 from 5:30 to 9 p.m., with a parish prayer service on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Loren Wegner, Dave Nelson, Jerry Wemhoff, Lewis Noerenberg, Joe Casavant, Kevin Kohler, and Roger Kritzeck served as the casketbearers.
