William B. Kegler
William B. Kegler, age 77 of Winsted Township, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998 at his residence.
He was born in Winsted Township, McLeod County, Minn. on March 31, 1921, the son of Lawrence E. and Mary Bayerl Kegler. Bill lived his entire life on his family's homestead in Winsted Township.
On June 20, 1944, William Kegler was joined in holy marriage to Lorraine Marshall at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with a daughter, Paulette, and a son, Keith.
Bill was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. He also belonged to the Holy Family Council #204 and to the St. Aloysius Society. He engaged in dairy farming for many years.
Survivors include his wife Lorraine; a daughter, Paulette R. Kegler of Denver, Co.; a son, Keith W. Kegler of Winsted; sisters, Sophia Ziebarth of Winsted and Magdalen (Clarence) Bebo of Silver Lake; brothers-in-law, Donald (Imelda) Marshall and Arnold (Elaine) Marshall, all of Winsted; a sister-in-law, Christine Kegler of St. Paul; and many other relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alfred Kegler; and sisters: Loretta Moy, Leona Zachmann, and Agnes Schermann.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, Nov. 7, 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with the Rev. Paul L. Wolf as the celebrant. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted on Friday, Nov. 6 from 4 to 9 p.m. A Holy Family Council Rosary was recited at the chapel Friday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Casket bearers were Mark Marshall, Leo Kegler, Kenneth and Clayton Ziebarth, and Jerry and Wilfred Bebo.
