Mass of Christian Burial for Todd Loe, age 24, of Lester Prairie, Minn. was held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, 1998 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Officiating was the Rev. Robert Wyffels. The organist was Lavon Kielkucki. The congregational hymns were "On Eagles Wings," "How Great Thou Art," "Because He Lives I Can Face Tomorrow," "The Lords Prayer," and "Were You There."
The casket bearers were Jason Nass, Troy Heimerl, Brian Heimerl, Jim Heimerl, Paul Heines, Peter Moller and Barry Trebil.
Interment was in the church cemetery. Visitation, Holy Family Council, rosary, and prayer service were Thursday evening at the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Lester Prairie.
Todd Daniel Loe was born the son of Gordon and Colleen (Pawelk) Loe on June 13, 1973 in Ft. Rucker, Ala. He received the sacrament of baptism at the Ft. Rucker Army Chapel and later was confirmed at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Todd graduated from the Lester Prairie High School in 1991 and attended the Brown Institute in Minneapolis in 1992.
Todd had been a member of the Boy Scouts of America and the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In high school, Todd was active in FHA, choir, track, football, and wrestling,of which he was captain and named all-conference.
He enjoyed hunting grouse and deer, driving, shooting pool, golfing and creative pottery. Todd liked nature and trips up north for fishing. He was a people person, always visiting and enjoying the moment.
On April 20, 1998, Todd Daniel Loe entered eternal peace at the age of 24 years, 10 months and 7 days.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emil and Margaret Loe, and maternal grandparents, Donald and Charlotte Pawelk.
Todd is survived by his parents, Gordon and Colleen Loe of Lester Prairie, brother Michael Loe (wife: Lori) of Little Canada, Minn.; aunts and uncles,: Richard Loe of Florida, Bill Loe of Hibbing, Minn.; Lester Loe (wife Rosemary) of Grand Rapids, Minn., Margaret Toivola (husband Don) of Hibbing, Minn., Gail Bizal of Hibbing, Minn., Linda Hicks of St Michael, Minn., Jeffrey Pawelk (wife Sandy) of Monticello, Minn., Mike Pawelk (wife Carol) of Cologne, Minn. Debra Kruschke of Winsted, Minn., Tim Pawelk (wife Cindy) of Cologne, Minn., Mary Schmakel (husband Neil) of Watertown, Minn., and Dave Pawelk of Winsted, Minn., as well as many cousins, other relatives and friends.
