Raymond E. Narr
Raymond E. Narr, age 81 of Montrose, Minn., died Saturday, July 11, 1998 at his home in Woodland Township.
Raymond was born Dec. 5, 1916 at Hollywood Township, Carver County, Minn., the son of John and Martha (Lutter) Narr. He was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township, on Dec. 17, 1916 by the Rev. W. L. Ernst, and confirmed by the same on May 10, 1931.
On October 16, 1941, he married Vernice C. Guetzkow at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany by the Rev. Theodore Rolf.
Raymond is survived by his wife Vernice; daughters and sons-in-law Valaria and Lowell Schubert of Delano, Carolyn and Harlan Dobratz of New Germany, Linda and Erland Hoese of Howard Lake, Becky and Dan Engel of Hopkins; sons and daughters-in-law John Narr of Watertown, and Bruce and Sandy Narr of Dassel.
He is further survived by grandchildren Renae, Brian and Gerald Schubert, Roger, Robert and Cindy Dobratz, Beth Baumann, Betty Jopp, Bobbi Jo Kadrie, James Hoese, Delilah and Jon Narr, Gene, Wendy and Jesse Narr, Danielle Engel; great-grandchildren Ashley and Chad Dobratz, Jessica and Ryan Baumann, Casondra and Patrick Jopp, Samantha and Jared Kadrie; sisters-in-law Elvira Narr of Hutchinson and Florence Narr of New Germany; sisters and brothers-in-law Ardis and Woodrow Hecksel of Waverly, Mervanna and Clinton Spomer of Mayer; godchildren Robert Dobratz, Beth Baumann, Waldo Narr, Gayle Jorgensen, and Eldron Hecksel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Narr; his sister Martha Meulich; brothers John, Edwin, Victor, Martin and Ruben Narr; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gustav and Lena Guetzkow.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Delano, with the Rev. David E. Bode officiating. Interment was at Crow River Cemetery, New Germany, Minn.
Casket bearers were Brian Schubert, Gerald Schubert, Roger Dobratz, Robert Dobratz, James Hoese, Jon Narr, Gene Narr, and Jesse Narr. Honorary casket bearers were Renae Schubert, Cindy Dobratz, Beth Baumann, Betty Jopp, Bobbi Jo Kadrie, Delilah Narr, Wendy Narr, and Danielle Engel.
