Martha P. Pawlicki, age 93, a resident of St. Mary's Care Center, Winsted since May, 1993, died June 5, 1998 of heart failure.
Funeral services were held June 9, 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Holy Family, Silver Lake officiated by the Reverend Mraz.
Val Shamla and the Holy Family Adult Choir provided the music. Musical selections included "Here I Am Lord," "I am the Bread of Life," "Amazing Grace," and "How Great Thou Art."
Interment was in the St. Adalbert Cemetery in Silver Lake. Pallbearers were Josh Schultz, Paul Schultz, Dean Schurmann, Mark Schurmann, Randall Schurmann, and Russel Schurmann.
Martha was born Feb. 12, 1905 in Silver Lake, the daughter of Stephen Pawlak and Anna Pavlik. She graduated from the eighth grade at the Silver Lake School.
On May 19, 1925 she married Peter Pawlicki in a service officiated by the Reverend Vincent Worlalla at St. Adalberts Church in Silver Lake.
Her hobbies included baking, flower and vegetable gardening, raising poultry, and she loved to make kolaches.
She was a member of the rosary society and CCW and was a lifetime member of the Holy Family Church.
Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her great joy, as well as, celebrating her birthday every year.
Surviving her are her children: Henry Pawlicki of Silver Lake, Dolores Schultz and husband, Phil of Silver Lake and Veronica Schurmann and husband Bob of New Germany; sister, Sally Kaczmarek of Silver Lake; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Peter and one grandchild.
