Agnes Lillian Prigge

Agnes Lillian Prigge was born Sept. 27, 1913 at Howard Lake, Minn., the daughter of Albert and Mollie (Drawert) Zeidler.

A life-long member of St. James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake, she was baptized Nov. 2, 1913 by the Rev. A.L. Oetjen and confirmed in her faith on April 10, 1927 by the Rev. C.G. Seltz.

On June 18, 1933, Agnes was united in marriage to LeRoy Prigge at St. James Church by the Rev. C.G. Seltz. This union was blessed with the birth of three children.

Agnes was active in her church as a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, the Church Office Bible Study group, the Rebecca Guild and the Ruth Guild.

Every Monday morning she would replenish worship materials in the church pew racks, arrange the hymnals and Bibles in their proper places, and collect the fellowship forms signed at the Sunday worship services.

Agnes also organized a group of ladies to assemble and distribute the church's newsletter each month. She was also a member of the Howard Lake Senior Citizen's group.

On Monday, Aug. 10, 1998, Agnes was called to her eternal rest at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 14 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mollie Zeidler; husband, LeRoy Prigge; three sisters, Hilda Gruenhagen, Esther Rieck, Florence Zeidler; one brother, Arthur Zeidler; and a daughter-in-law, Arlene Prigge.

Agnes is survived by two sons, Roger Prigge and wife, Barbara, of Bloomington, Eugene Prigge and wife, Jan, of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Delores Mikkelson and husband, LeRoy, of Plymouth; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 13, 1998 at St. James Lutheran Church with the Revs. Brendan Prigge, Michael Nirva, and Martin Schoenfeld officiating. The organist was Diane Johnson, with special music by the Lutheran Womens Missionary League choir. Interment was at the Howard Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Todd, Jon, and Stephen Mikkelson, Brendan and Kevin Prigge, and Jason Ernst.
