Funeral services for Henry Rolf, 86, of Arlington were held on Friday, July 24, from St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington, with the Rev. Bruce W. Hanneman officiating.
Mr. Rolf died on Tuesday, July 21, 1998, at the Arlington Municipal Hospital.
Pallbearers were Leonard Albers, Glen Gieseke, John Gilster, Allen Heuer, Ellerd Mathwig and Michael Rolf. Interment was in the church cemetery in Arlington.
Mr. Rolf was born on May 12, 1912, in Norwood to Adam and Elizabeth (Kloempken) Rolf.
He married Alice Dehning on June 21, 1939, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Helen Township, rural Glencoe.
He was a farmer his entire life, farming together with his parents until 1946, then moving and farming near Blakely until 1950. He then moved near Arlington.
Mr. Rolf attended the adult day care center in Arlington.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Hillard and Kay Rolf of Arlington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Sophie Rolf of Gaylord and Elmer and Irene Rolf of Norwood Young America; sister, Emma Albers of Green Isle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hillard Dehning of Henderson, Dorothea and Eugene Ernst of Watsonville, Calif., Evelyn and Albert Heuer of Waconia and Evangeline and Harold Bade of Arlington; two grandchildren, Connie Seeman and husband, Doug, of Cologne and Stacy Rolf and finance, Dan Fahning, of Arlington; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Kayle Seeman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice, on May 1, 1990; sister, Hilda Heimkes; four brothers-in-law, Ervin Heimkes, Werner Albers, Clarence Dehning and Loren Karg; three sisters-in-law, Irene Dehning, Elaine Dehning and Adeline Karg; and nephew, Dennis Rolf.
The Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington handled arrangements.
