Agnes G. Schoenke
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 22, 1998 for
Agnes G. Schoenke, age 91 of New Germany. She died Sunday, July 19 at Good
Samaritan Center in Waconia.
Agnes was born April 28, 1907 at Camden Township, Carver
County, Minn., the daughter of John and Anna (Heldt) Nimz.
She was baptized June 6, 1907 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church,
Crow River by the Rev. Theo Rolf; and confirmed by the same on March 20,
1921 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany.
On Aug. 16, 1928, she married Arthur A. Schoenke at St.
Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany by the Rev. F. W. Erthal.
Agnes was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Ladies Aid.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur; her parents
John and Anna Nimz; her brother Leonard Nimz; and her sisters, Hilda Rother,
Elsie Nimz, Lorena Pfleghaar, Louise Schmakel, Bertha Mueller, and Lena
Mielke.
Agnes is survived by sisters-in-law and brother-in-law,
Adeline and Clyde Hoenk of Watertown and Mildred Nimz of Big Lake; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. from St. Mark Lutheran
Church, New Germany with the Rev. Jack E. Dahl officiating. Interment was
at the church cemetery.
Casket bearers were Franklin Schoenke, Del Nimz, Eugene
Nimz, William Mueller, Kenneth Weschler, and Clyde Strieve.
