Geroge Milford Strandquist obituary 3/29/98


George Milford Strandquist, 92, of Oster, died at Good
Samaritan Center in Howard Lake, Sunday, March 29, 1998.
George was born June 1, 1905, to Peter and Emma (Johnson)
Strandquist in Oster. He was married to Ruth Beckman on June 7, 1950, and
the couple made their home on the family farm until 1993. For the past five
years, George had resided at the Good Samaritan Center.
George was preceded in death by his parents and by his
brothers, David, Henry, Arnold, and sisters, Elsie and Lutie.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of Cokato; sons, Stephen
(Merijo) of Oster, Robert of Oster, daughter Janice (Marty) Clancy of Nashville,
Tenn.; step-children David Beckman of Annandale and Susan Mounkes of Tulsa,
Okla.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Blanche
Strandquist of York, Pa.; and brother-in-law Orlando (Lenora) Tesch of Mayer.
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 1, at the Oster
Covenant Church with the Rev. Robert Ramphal officiating. Music was by Ruth
Deidrick, organist, and David and Bev Allen, vocalists.
Interment was at the church cemetery.
Serving as casketbearers were Lyndon Allen, Calvin Deidrick,
Bill Strandquist, Larry Strandquist, Wallace Strandquist and Willard Strandquist.

Arrangements were by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard
Lake.
