Cheryl Jean Weiman, age 50 of Delano, lost her struggle
with cancer at her residence Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998.
Cheryl was born in Winona, Minn., on June 9, 1948 to Arwood
(Woody) and Helen (Drenckhahn) Yager. She was baptized and confirmed at
Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano.
Cheryl was married to Dale Weiman on Oct. 24, 1970 at St.
John the Baptist Church in Excelsior, Minn.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Delano.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 28 years, Dale; two
sons, Dale, Jr. (Meussa) and Tomas (Wendy); her parents, A.W. “Woody”
and Helen Yager of Winsted; brothers, Greg (Nancy) and Bruce; extended family
and many special friends. She will always be in our hearts.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 4 to 9 p.m.
at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, and also one hour prior to the service
at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with the
Rev. Dennis Speetzen officiating. Music was by Mitchell Bunker, organist,
with Joy Hittner, soloist.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Pallbearers were Tom O’Neel, Keith Weiman, David Hammer-strom, Steve Hammer,
Bruce Kohls, and Sue Schultz.
