Esther Ida Anders
Esther Ida Anders, age 86 of Buffalo and formerly of Montrose, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale.
Esther was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Woodland Township, Wright County, the daughter of Edmund and Bertha (Dedrick) Doering.
When she was six years old, Esther moved with her parents from Waverly to Howard Lake, where she attended school.
On April 24, 1940, Esther and Rollan Anders were joined in holy marriage at the Methodist Parsonage in Buffalo.
Through the years, Esther was employed at the Waverly Telephone Office, Streater Lumber Company, and Kelly's Store in Montrose.
She was a faithful member of Buffalo United Methodist Church.
Esther is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Darlyne Doering of Browerville; a nephew, Marcus Doering; and other relatives, as well as many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband Rollan on June 20, 1993.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July l2, 1 p.m., at the Buffalo United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Delbert Kurtz officiating. Interment followed at the Howard Lake Cemetery.
Organist for the service was Laurie Schroeder. Soloist Bradley Crawford sang "How Great Thou Art" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus."
Friends called from noon until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
Casket bearers were Clinton Mohring, Gerald Dubbin, Elmer Vorgert, Robert Maehling, Mianna Varner, and Marjorie Elletson.
Memorials preferred to the Buffalo United Methodist Church.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
