Funeral services for Delores Arnold, 73, of Hackensack and formerly of Lester Prairie, were Tuesday, Sept. 19, from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Walker. Delores died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital, Brainerd.
Delores Monroe was born April 18, 1927, in Lester Prairie to Frank and Christina (Jannusch) Monroe. She grew up and attended country school at Lester Prairie.
Delores was united in marriage to Andrew Arnold on Sept. 18, 1948, at Lester Prairie. After their marriage, the couple moved to Hopkins, where Delores was a waitress at the Reiss restaurant for 22 years.
The couple later retired and moved to Hackensack.
Delores was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Walker; and also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, St. Louis Park.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew of Hackensack; a daughter, Linda Daniel of Eden Prairie; two grandchildren, Kristiana Maser and Angela Daniel; a great-grandson, Cameron Daniel; two brothers, Eugene Monroe of Oregon and DeRoyce Monroe of Lester Prairie; and a sister, Evelyn Ruschke of Glencoe.
Interment was in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley.
The Thomas-Dennis Funeral Home of Walker handled the arrangements.
