Clarence Joseph Bebo

Clarence Joseph Bebo, age 86 of Silver Lake, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at the Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia.

Clarence was born in Winsted Township, McLeod County, July 22, 1913, the son of Homer and Louise (Bugnon) Bebo.

He was joined in holy marriage to Magdalen Kegler April 25, 1934, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four children: Bernice, Wilfred, Margie, and Gerald.

Clarence hauled livestock until 1945 and was a lifetime mechanic. He also engaged in dairy farming for many years.

He was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Survivors include his wife, Magdalen A. Bebo; children: Bernice (Alvin) Navratil of Minnetonka, Wilfred (Elaine) Bebo of Silver Lake, Margie (Bernard) Quast of Winsted, and Gerald Bebo of Silver Lake; grandchildren: Tom (Joann) Bebo, Michele (Randy) Vasko, Kevin (Mary) Quast, Karen Quast, Connie (David Hirsch) Quast, David (Sheila) Quast, and Shari (John) Zander; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by a sister and brothers: Rosella Quast of Winsted, Edward (Phil) Bebo of Crystal, and Ken (Pattie) Bebo of Lester Prairie; sisters-in-law, Viola Bebo of Hutchinson, Sophie Ziebarth and Lorraine Kegler, both of Winsted; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Louise Bebo; a sister, Agnes Bebo; brothers, Francis Bebo, Louis Bebo, and Jerome Bebo; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Alma Bebo, Alice Bebo, and William "Bill" Quast.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Sept. 14, 10:30 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted, with the Rev. Paul L. Wolf as the celebrant. Lavon Kielkucki provided special music for the Mass.

Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery. John Bebo, Stanley Bebo, Tom Bebo, Doug Bebo, Kevin Quast, and David Quast served as the casket bearers.

Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted Monday, Sept. 13 from 4 to 9 p.m. A rosary was recited at the chapel Monday at 7:30 p.m.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
