Agnes Clara Conrad
Agnes Clara (Fasching) Conrad, age 84 of Biscay, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Glencoe Area Health Center.
Agnes was born Aug. 24, 1915, in Winsted Township, McLeod County, the daughter of Andrew F. and Julina (Quast) Fasching. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School, Winsted.
On Nov. 10, 1952, Agnes married Kenneth R. Conrad.
She was employed as a housekeeper, waitress, cook, seamstress, restaurant manager, and homemaker.
Her hobbies included gardening, quilting, baking, sewing, and bird-watching.
A member of Church of the Holy Family, Silver Lake; Agnes was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Council of Women, Silver Lake; and Holy Family Council, Winsted.
Agnes is survived by her husband Kenneth of Biscay; a daughter, Donna Conrad of Biscay; brother, Ted Fasching of Winsted; sister, Tillie Speckel of Watertown; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Martin, Frank, Andrew, Leonard, Anthony, and Adolf.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 1, 10:30 a.m., at Church of the Holy Family, Silver Lake, with the Revs. Robert Mraz, Jim Devorak, Patrick Casey, and Felix Fasching officiating. Music was provided by Sister Elizabeth Gruenes and included "Amazing Grace," "Gather Us In," "On Eagle's Wings," and "How Great Thou Art."
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Dean Schermann, Raymond Schermann, Donald Fasching, Eugene Fasching, Troy Fasching, and Ted Fasching served as pallbearers.
Arrangements were by Maresh Funeral Home, Silver Lake.
