Amy Doris Coyle, age 71 of Howard Lake, died Wednesday,
March 3, 1999, at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.
Amy was born Dec. 12, 1927, to Allie and Sophie Gladitsch
Schulenberg in New Ulm, Minn. She was married to Hugh F. Coyle Dec. 13,
1952, in St. Joseph Parish House in Hopkins.
Amy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Montrose.
She belonged to St. Paul’s Women’s Circle, Martin Luther College Ladies
Auxiliary and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh; and a granddaughter,
Michelle Coyle.
Amy is survived by three sons: Steven (Cheryl) of Norwood
Young America, Dean (Pam) of Watertown, and Todd (Lynn) of Watertown; two
daughers: Debra (Ted) Hanson of Howard Lake, and Carmen Coyle and John Grove
of Minneapolis; and eight grandchildren: Michael, Megan, Mary, Jackie, Cody,
Jennie, Ben, and Abby.
She is further survived by four sisters-in-law, Patricia
LaBerge of Minneapolis, Virginia Houck of Minnetonka, Marian Wood of Virginia,
and Irene Olson of Arizona; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 7, 1999, 2 p.m., at
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Montrose with visitation for two hours prior
to the service at the church. The Rev. Robert J. Hellmann officiated and
music was by Elliot Epple, organist with St. Paul’s Church Choir and congregational
singing. Interment was in National Cemetery, Ft. Snelling, Minn.
Pallbearers were Steven, Dean, Todd, and Michael Coyle,
Ted Hanson, and John Grove.
Arrangements were handled by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
