Emma L. Dalbec

Emma L. Dalbec, age 94 of Watertown, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000 at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia.

Emma was born Feb. 14, 1906, at Rockford Township, Wright County, the daughter of William and Rika (Kuchenbecker) Rux. She was baptized June 3, 1906 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pelican Lake, by the Rev. Herman E. Meyer, and confirmed March 28, 1920, at the same church by the Rev. C. J. Schrader.

On Jan. 7, 1925, Emma married William F. Dalbec at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Delano, by the Rev. Bruns.

Emma is preceded in death by her husband William; an infant son, Nathan; sons-in-law, Orville Brueggemeier and Gordon Kassulker; parents, William and Rika Rux; brothers, Ben and Art Rux; a sister, Ida Gruhling; half sisters and brothers, Oscar and Emil Rucks, Herman and Laurence Guedes, Esther Vergin, and Elsie Weege.

She is survived by daughters, Norma Kassulker of Mayer, and Audrey Brueggemeier of Winsted; grandchildren, Keith Kassulker, Kent Kassulker, Kerry and Louanne Kassulker, Dean and Jackie Brueggemeier, Beth and Ted Robinson, Neal and Paula Brueggemeier, and Chad Brueggemeier and fiancée, Pam Criego; and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Jessica, Carime, Callie, Shane, Casey, Nicole, Whitney, Nathan, and Billy.

Emma is further survived by a brother, Henry Rux of Buffalo, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Blanche Rux of Buffalo, Rebecca Dalbec of Howard Lake, Erna Dalbec of Watertown, Dorothy Dalbec of Delano, Lloyd Dalbec of Montrose, and Ambrose and Leona Yantes of Delano; nieces; nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 18, 11 a.m., at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Watertown, with the Revs. Paul Krentz and Jeff Harter officiating. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery, Rockford, Minn.

Casket bearers were Emma's grandchildren: Keith Kassulker, Kent Kassulker, Kerry Kassulker, Dean Brueggemeier, Beth Robinson, Neal Brueggemeier, and Chad Brueggemeier.

Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.
