John D. Danielson
Funeral services were Monday, May 10, 1999, for John D. Danielson, age 64 of Watertown, who died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia.
John was born April 15, 1935, at Minneapolis, Minn., the son of Horace E. and Helen S. Granzow Danielson. He was baptized May 11, 1935, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Watertown, by the Rev. Magni Lavander; and confirmed there May 21, 1950, by the Rev. N. William Anderson.
He graduated from Watertown High School and went on to graduate from Gustavous Adolphus College, St. Peter.
John was financial advisor for Watertown Commnity Hospital from its inception until its closing. He then worked for St. Mary's Hospital in Winsted for many years.
A lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown, John served as church treasurer for many years. His hobbies included carving birds and sending cards made on his computer.
John is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Emmett and Geri Danielson of Watertown; a nephew, Steven, and wife, Jill, Danielson of Watertown; great-niece Nicole Ann Danielson of Watertown; aunts and uncle, Luella Granzow of Watertown, Gilbert and Violet Granzow of Chaska; cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Helen Danielson; and his grandparents.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Watertown, with the Revs. Robert F. Ericson and Debra L. Warnes officiating. Interment was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Watertown.
Casket bearers were Loren Rumpza, Bill Drew, Lowell Malberg, Jack Akins, Douglas Lenz, and Arlo Henning.
Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia, Minn.
