Dorothy M. Ditmore
Memorial services were Monday, April 5, l999, 1 p.m., at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre for Dorothy M. Ditmore, who passed away Thursday, April l, 1999, at St Michael's Nursing Home, Sauk Centre.
Dorothy Ditmore was the daughter of John and Mary Hansen. She completed nurses' training at Northwestern Hospital, Minnea-polis, and became a registered nurse.
She returned to Sauk Centre to become a school nurse after her marriage. For 2l years, she was the first public health nurse to work in the area.
She was on the St. Michael's Hospital board for 2l years, the board of directors for the Red Cross and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband John Ditmore; sons and daughter, Jack of St. Paul, Bob of Lakeville and Janice Hanson of Little Falls; six grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margaret Barth of Howard Lake; and a brother-in-law, Conrad Ditmore of Seattle, Wash.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles; and a sister, Lorraine.
Arrangements were by the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Edina, with burial in Sauk Centre.
