Agnes M. Engelman
Agnes M. Engelman, age 83 of Maple Lake, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale.
Agnes was born Sept. 16, 1917, in Silver Creek Township, the daughter of Emil and Augusta (Koepke) Klemz. She was baptized on Sept. 17, 1917, by the Rev. Carl Leucker at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Silver Creek. She was also instructed in the Lutheran catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith May 17, 1931, by the Rev. Arnold Cloeter at the same church.
On Sept. 20, 1946, Agnes and Marion Engelman were joined in holy marriage at St. James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake. God blessed their marriage with a son, Michael.
Agnes was formerly employed at the Rosenblatt Coat Factory for 20 years.
She was a faithful member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Buffalo.
She is survived by her husband Marion; her son, Michael M. Engelman of Maple Lake; sisters, Ella Miller of Howard Lake and Mildred Schubert of Buffalo; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wilbur, Ervin, Alfred, Arnold and Elmer Klemz; and sisters, Sarah Dykhuizen and Esther Rico.
Funeral services were Saturday, July l, 2 p.m., at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Buffalo, with the Rev. James Disney officiating. Interment followed at the Howard Lake Cemetery.
Friends called from noon until the time of service Saturday, July 1, at the church.
Rosy Pribyl, Sandy Clausen, Evy Otto, Joyce Klemz, Debbie Engelman, and Norma Koosman served as casket bearers.
The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, served the family.
