Robert Thomas Fiecke
Robert Thomas Fiecke, age 51 of Winsted, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at the Glencoe Area Health Center.
Robert was born in Hutchinson on Dec. 8, 1947, the son of Henry J. and Eleanor Lewandowski Fiecke.
He graduated from Watertown High School in 1966 and later attended Willmar Tech for one year studying agriculture.
Robert honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1967 until 1971.
On Nov. 12, 1977, he was joined in holy marriage to Sandra Hoffman in Buffalo.
For the past 27 years, Robert was employed at Sterner Lighting Systems Incorporated in Winsted.
He was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted and belonged to American Legion Post 407. He also served in the Legion Color Guard.
Robert is survived by his wife Sandra Hoffman Fiecke; sons: Joseph Fiecke of Winsted and fiancee, Robin Foss, and Robert Fiecke, Jr.; parents, Henry J and Eleanor Fiecke of Winsted; sisters and brothers, Rita (Bob) Lindquist of Buffalo, Gerald (Nancy) Fiecke of Watertown, Diane (Joseph) Bokusky of Montrose, and David Fiecke of Winsted; maternal grandmother, Peggy Lewandowski of Howard Lake; and mother-in-law, Mary Hoffman Engesser of Winsted.
He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by a son, John P. Fiecke; maternal grandfather, Peter Lewandowski; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Ann Fiecke; and father-in-law, John Hoffman.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, Jan. 29, 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the celebrant and Lavon Kielkucki was the organist for the mass. Interment followed with military rites at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted on Thursday, Jan. 28, from 4-8 p.m. A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m., followed by a parish prayer service at 7 p.m.
