Donald C. Hedtke

Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, for Donald C. Hedtke, age 69 of New Germany, who died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at his home in Camden Township.

Donald was born Aug. 2, 1931, at Camden Township, the son of Fred G. and Aletta (Schurmann) Hedtke. He was baptized Aug. 23, 1951, at St.Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany, by the Rev. Theo Rolf; and confirmed March 25, 1945, at the same church by the Rev. JohnMeyer.

On Dec. 12, 1958, Donald married Evangeline M. Klaustermeier at Zion Lutheran Church, Benton Township, Cologne, by the Rev. Hohn Melchert.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife Evangeline; daughter, Barbara Hedtke; parents, Fred and Aletta Hedtke; sister, Joann Hedtke; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Klaustermeier.

He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Joni Hedtke of Mayer, and John Hedtke of New Germany; daughter, Patricia Hedtke of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Amanda and Christopher Hedtke; sisters and brother-in-law, Orvilla Gebhardt of Glencoe, and Myra and Gerald Nagel of Belle Plain; brother and sister-in-law, Alvin and Shirley Hedtke of New Germany; father-in-law, Emil Klaustermeier of Norwood Young America; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Pam Klaustermeier of Wisconsin, Donald and Marian Klaustermeier, Janet and William Paul of Wyoming; Roger and Debra Klaustermeier, and David and Mary Klaustermeier, all of Norwood Young America; Lois Richardson and fiance, Pat O'Neil , and Juliene Klaustermeier, all of Cologne; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The Vicar Allen D. Holthus officiated at the 11 a.m. funeral service at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany. Interment was in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery.

Casket bearers were David Klaustermeier, Roger Klaust-ermeier, Donald Klaustermeier, Melvin Klaustermeier, William Paul, Leonard Oestreich, Franklin Schoenke, and Darrel Kutzke.

Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.
