Elsie A. Krause
Elsie A. Krause, age 92 of Howard Lake and formerly of Buffalo, died on Saturday, March 4, 2000.
Elsie was born May 28, 1907, in Marysville Township, Wright County, the daughter of Paul and Anna Elfmann Kubalsky.
Elsie was baptized at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Montrose, July 7, 1907; and also confirmed there March 20, 1921. She joined St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Buffalo, July 2, 1924.
Elsie worked as a seamstress for Wonderalls, and also at the Buffalo Dry Cleaners & Launderers, Inc.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret M. Ottenstroer of Staples; foster sons, Gary Schmid and family, and Earle Ludders and family; and nieces and nephews.
Elsie is preceded in death by her husband, George Krause; parents, Paul and Anna Kubalsky; a grandson, Daniel Schmid; and three sisters, Bertha Sieg, Agnes Lueck and Clara L. Dahlin.
Funeral services were Thursday, March 9, 1 p.m., at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Buffalo, with the Rev. James Disney officiating. Interment followed at the Lakeview Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday, March 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel, Buffalo.
Marlene Mohwinkel was the organist for the funeral service. Congregational hymns were "In the Garden" and "Amazing Grace-How Sweet the Sound."
Russ Ottenstroer, Dean Schmid, Steve Ludders, Dennis Ludders David Ludders and Bill Utsch served as casketbearers.
The Peterson Chapel served the family.
