Leo M. Kritzeck
Leo M. Kritzeck, age 78 of rural Howard Lake, died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Leo was born in Victor Township, Wright County on Sept. 22, 1920, the son of Joseph and Nellie Overman Kritzeck. Leo lived his entire life on his family's homestead.
As a young man, Leo attended Holy Trinity High School in Winsted and graduated from there in 1938.
On Sept. 20, 1949, Leo was joined in holy marriage to Lorraine Millerbernd at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eden Valley. God blessed their marriage with seven children.
Leo engaged in dairy and small grain farming in Victor Township for many years.
He was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted and also belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters Holy Trinity Court #1054.
Leo is survived by his wife Lorraine; children: Audrey (Greg) Dishman of Santa Rosa, Calif.; Joe (Eva) Kritzeck of St. Cloud; Greg (Sharon) Kritzeck of Clear Lake; Mary (Bruce) Norman of Minneapolis; Robert (Marlene) Kritzeck of Howard Lake; Carolyn (Doug) Chalupsky of Winsted; and Jon (Denise) Kritzeck of Gresham, Ore.
He is further survived by 19 grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Margie) Kritzeck of Howard Lake; a sister, Eleanor (Luke) Otto of Lester Prairie; many other relatives and friends.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, March 11, 11 a.m, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the celebrant. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called at the church Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
