Joseph C. Lachermeier
Joseph C. Lachermeier, age 88 of Waverly, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at the Howard Lake Good Samaritan Home.
Joe was born to George and Mary (Remer) Lachermeier March 16, 1911, in Winsted. He was married to Catherine M. Rogers.
Joe is survived by his wife Catherine; four sons, Joseph, Jr. and Dolly of Denver, Colo.; Ron and Bernie of Buffalo, Darrell and Glady of Howard Lake, and Jim and Jeanette of Melrose; a daughter, Joni and Dale Ingersoll of Montrose; 21 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
He is further survived by two brothers, George "Butch" and Elmarine, and Ben and Sally, all of Winsted; and two sisters, Magdeline and Linus Hertzog of Winsted, and Ann Boyle of Cannon Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: Leo, Tony, Allie, Paul, and Leonard.
Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, Dec. 24, 9 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waverly, with the Rev. Robert Wiley officiating. Music was by St. Mary's Catholic Choir. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 23, 4 to 8 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waverly; as well as from 8 to 9 a.m. Friday at the church, prior to the service.
Pallbearers were Joe's grandchildren: Jason Lachermeier, Rhonda Schuler, Dennis Lachermeier, Joe Lachermeier III, Karen Jude, Dean Lachermeier, Brian Lachermeier, and Derek Fadden.
Arrangements were by Iten Funeral Home, Delano.
