Elizabeth LaMott, age 96 of Silver Lake, Minn., died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999 at St. Mary's Care Center in Winsted.
Elizabeth was born in Winsted Township on Oct. 30, 1902, the daughter of Valentine and Peggy (Mallak) Rozeske. She attended school through the sixth grade, when she had to quit to help on the farm.
On April 7, 1921, Elizabeth married Joe E. LaMott. The marriage was blessed with seven children.
Elizabeth was a faithful member of St. Adalbert's Church and the Rosary Society.
She is survived by children, Earl (Gail) of Burnsville, Marceal (Annette) of Silver Lake, Delores (Louis) Fiecke of Howard Lake, Jeanette Stibal of Lester Prairie, Zoa (Lanny) Fasching of Winsted, and Ed (Dorothy) of Silver Lake; daughter-in-law, Mabel Tabaka of Brooklyn Park; sister, Victoria Bugnon of St. Paul; sister-in-law, Eleanor Hackenkamp of Glencoe; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe; her son, Clarence; son-in-law, Ronald Stibal; Ray Loew; grandson, Tom Loew; and great-granddaughter Dawn Loew.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Feb. 16, 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Silver Lake. The Rev. Martin Rath was the celebrant and the Rev. Bob Mraz also officiated. Interment followed at St. Adalbert's cemetery.
Friends called at the Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake Monday, Feb. 15 from 4 to 9 p.m. A prayer service was at 8 p.m.
Val Shamla was the organist for the Mass and Dennis LaMott was the soloist.
Gerald LaMott, David LaMott, Bruce LaMott, Tony LaMott, Gerald Stibal and Kenneth Fiecke served as casket bearers.
Elizabeth was much loved by her family and she will be missed by many.
