Maurice V. "Carrots" LePage
Maurice V. "Carrots" LePage, age 82 of Waverly, died recently at his residence.
Maurice was born in Marysville Township on Oct. 10, 1917, the son of Alphonse and Mary (Doerfler) LePage.
On Nov. 2, 1945, Maurice was joined in holy marriage to OraBelle M. Middagh at The Church of St. Mary, Waverly. God blessed their marriage with three sons.
Maurice honorably served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II, and was awarded a bronze star.
Maurice engaged in building repair for many years, owning and operating LePage Air & Steam.
He was a member of the Wright Co. V.F.W. Post #1901; and a former member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #49, and the Construction & General Laborers Local #563.
Maurice was also a lifetime member of the Church of St. Mary, Waverly.
Survivors include his sons: Bruce C. (Christine) LePage of Grantsburg, Wis.; Morris V. "Chic" LePage of St. Paul, and Ralph J. LePage of Barronett, Wis.; grandchildren: Brett J. LePage, Tori R. LePage, Napoleon M. LePage and Josephine C. LePage; a brother, Myron (Margaret) LePage of Minneapolis; sisters, Viola and Lorraine, both of California; a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many other relatives and friends.
Maurice was preceded in death by his wife Orabelle; parents, Alphonse and Mary LePage; and by 10 brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m., at the Church of St. Mary, Waverly. The Rev. Robert Wiley was the celebrant. Interment with military rites followed at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends called at the Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Bruce LePage, Morris "Chic" LePage, Ralph LePage, Tori LePage, Josephine LePage and Napoleon LePage served as the casket bearers.
The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, served the family.
