Carol Ann Lindstrand
Funeral services for Carol Ann (Howe) Lindstrand, 62, of Willmar were held Friday from Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar, with the Rev. Thomas Carlson officiating.
Mrs. Lindstrand was hospitalized one day and then transferred to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where she died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999.
Burial was in the Bethel Lutheran Church cemetery in Willmar.
Carol Ann Howe was born on Nov. 2, 1936, in McLeod County, to Maurice and Ethel (Dibb) Howe, graduating from Glencoe High School in 1954.
After graduation, she worked at the Municipal Electric Plant in Glencoe until her marriage.
On July 27, 1957, she was united in marriage to Franklin Lindstrand at First Congregational Church in Glencoe.
While living in Willmar, Mrs. Lindstrand worked as a press operator at Molenaar Inc. for 25 years, before retiring in 1994.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, playing Yahtzee and watching TV. She also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in sporting events.
Surviving are her children, Vicki (Sam) Lester of Lester Prairie, Cindy (Dave) Kinnear of Milwaukee, Wis., Kevin Lindstrand of Kandiyohi; Scott (Cindy) Lindstrand of Kandiyohi; Lori (Jeff) Johnson of Willmar; six grandchildren, Krista and Mark Lindstrand, Joshua and Amanda Johnson, Andrew and Kimberly Kinnear; sisters, Elaine Fruetel of Lester Prairie, Vivian (Floyd) Grimm of Glencoe; brother, Wayne (Esther) Howe of Bloomington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents and brother-in-law, Howard Fruetel, preceded her in death.
