Elamarie Mrazek Makovsky
Elamarie Mrazek Makovsky, age 63 of Silver Lake, died Sunday, March 14, 1999 at the Glencoe Hospital.
Elamarie was born Dec. 15, 1935 to the Rev. Jaroslav and Vera Prudky Mrazek in Johnstown, N.Y. She graduated from high school in Newkirk, Okla. and continued her education at Abbott Hospital School of Nursing, Metropolitan University, and Mankato State University.
Ellie was a registered nurse for 35 years at the Glencoe Hospital and a public health nurse for seven years for McLeod County.
On Sept. 9, 1956, Ellie married Ron Makovsky at the Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake.
She was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church, junior choir director, elder, clerk of session, deacon and an officer of the Mariners Club.
Ellie enjoyed gardening, flowers, antiques, auctions, traveling and reading.
She entered her eternal rest Sunday, March 14, 1999, at the age of 63 years, two months, and 27 days.
Ellie is survived by her husband Ron, son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Hiromi of Twenty-nine Palms, Calif.; daughters, Beth of St. Louis Park and Ann of Bremerton, Wash.; and grandchildren, Ken, Gene and Nicholas.
She is further survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Phillip Scott of Newkirk, Okla.; and her brother, George Mrazek of Boulder, Colo.
Ellie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Paul.
A Celebration of Life service was on Thursday, March 18, 1999, 2 p.m., at Faith Presbyterian Church, Silver Lake with the Rev. Deanna Peterson officiating. Organist was Gladys Smoley, with musical selections by Barbara Wawrzyniak and the chancel choir.
Interment was in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Silver Lake.
