Wallace P. Mohrbacher
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Aug. 31 from St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Cologne for Wallace P. "Wally" Mohrbacher, 74, of Cologne, with the Rev. George Thoomkuzhy officiating.
Mr. Mohrbacher died on Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at his home.
Pallbearers were Gerry Mohrbacher, Charles Schepers, Casper Tellers, Greg Boyle, Pat Fahey and Ed Klepperich. Interment was in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Cologne.
Mr. Mohrbacher was born on May 11, 1923, in Cologne to Henry and Anna (Schneider) Mohrbacher. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Cologne.
On June 18, 1949, he was united in marriage to Phyllis B. Kruger at St. Bernard's Catholic Church by the Rev. Fasching.
Mr. Mohrbacher was a World War II veteran, and belonged to the Cologne VFW. The VFW held graveside services for him at the cemetery.
He also was a retired fireman, and a long-time proprietor in the tavern business with his brother, Greg. His hobbies included anything mechanical.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Carol Mohrbacher of Hutchinson; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Jerome Worm of Cologne, Lynne and Brian Lundquist of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Shelly Grossinger, Sheri and Jim Hentges, Staci Worm, Nik Karly and Kourtney Franck; great-grandchild, Halli Hentges; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Elaine Mohrbacher of Cologne; sisters, Cleo Thom of Glencoe and Sally Eiden of Chaska; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Emily Mohrbacher of Winsted, Marion and Stanley Falch of Austin, Bernice and Leonard Krupicka of Austin, Lois Wendorff of LaCrosse, Wis., Carol Emery of Eagan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia handled arrangements.
