Lorena W. Noerenberg
Lorena W. Noerenberg, age 88 of New Germany, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Good Samaritan Center, Waconia.
Lorena was born Aug. 22, 1911, at Hollywood Township, Carver County, Minn., the daughter of Paul F. and Anna (Goede) Rudloff. She was baptized Sept. 24, 1911, at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township, by the Rev. Theodore Rolf; and confirmed at the same May 17, 1925, by the Rev. W. L. Ernst.
On June 21, 1936, Lorena married Ruben B. Noerenberg at St. John Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Ernst.
Lorena enjoyed gardening, crocheting, tatting, and caring for her chickens on the farm; as well as being with her neighbors and friends. She especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Lorena was preceded in death by her husband Ruben; grandson, Michael Noerenberg; parents, Paul and Anna Rudloff; and brothers, Carl, Walter, and Edward Rudloff.
Survivors include Lorena's daughters and sons-in-law, Mavis and Erlen Schroeder of Mayer, and Sharon and Dennis Buehler of Cologne; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sue Noerenberg of New Germany; grandchildren: Douglas and Kathy Schroeder, Shari and Tom Blair, Gregg and Lori Schroeder, Lisa and Wade Swenson, Brad Noerenberg and fiance, Jill Schultz; Justin Noerenberg, Jason Noerenberg, Pam and Dave Hucky, Brian Buehler, Jennifer and Eric Sauter; and great-grandchildren: Cara and Benjamin Schroeder, Jordan, Ashlyn, and Madison Hucky; Matthew and Ryan Blair, Lauren and Katie Schroeder, and Abigail Swenson.
She is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Hilda Noerenberg of New Germany, Viola and Alvin Stender of New Germany, and Edna and Norman Arnold of Annandale; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Monday, April 17, 2 p.m., at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany, with the Rev. Edwin Narr officiating. Interment was at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery, New Germany.
Lorena's grandsons, Douglas Schroeder, Gregg Schroeder, Brad Noerenberg, Justin Noerenberg, Jason Noerenberg, and Brian Buehler, served as casketbearers.
The Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia, handled the arrangements.
