Angeline R. Novak

Mass of Christian Burial was held for Angeline R. Novak, 79, of Silver Lake on Saturday, June 10, from Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake, with the Rev. Robert Mraz officiating.

Mrs. Novak died on Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at the Glencoe Area Health Center.

Organist was Alice Nowak, and the Holy Family Adult Choir sang "On This Day," "The Blessing," "Prayer of St. Francis" and "On Eagle's Wings."

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Michael Lawrence, Brian Rognli, Dan Harbarth, Ryan Katzer, Tom Sanders and David Havelka. Honorary pallbearers were her grandsons, Garret Novak, Blake Novak and Tanner Wisner-Novak. Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Silver Lake.

Angeline Jagodzinski was born on Aug. 26, 1920, in Winsted Township, McLeod County, to Peter and Veronica Jagodzinski. She received her education at District 83, Adalbert's Parochial School and Silver Lake High School.

On June 28, 1944, she was united in marriage to Charles Novak. They farmed in rural Glencoe.

Mrs. Novak enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, gardening, flowers, playing cards, traveling, baking, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; children, Patty (Gordon) Lawrence of Rosemount, Judy (Ed) Havelka of Glencoe, Sharon (Ken) Katzer of Apple Valley, Richard Novak of Bloomington, Margie (Duane) Rognli of Silver Lake and Bob (Connie) Novak of Glencoe; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marie Anderson of Minneapolis, Sophie Bickman of Lester Prairie, Dominic Jagodzinski of Winsted, Irene Kopka and Veronica Schagel, both of Minneapolis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; three aunts; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; in-laws, Charles and Victoria Novak; granddaughter, Lexie Novak; sister, Helen Perry; brother, David Jogodzinski; and brothers-in-law, Henry Poshek, Bill Perry and Bud Chamberlin.

The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake handled the arrangements.
