Kenneth L. Peterson
Kenneth L. Peterson, age 82, formerly of Northeast Minneapolis and this past year a resident of St. Therese Apartments in New Hope, died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at North Memorial Hospice, Robbinsdale, Minn.
Kenneth was born in Minneapolis June 4, 1916. He graduated from Edison High School in 1935 and attended two years at the University of Minnesota. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving 3 1/2 years in Europe.
Kenneth was a retired 40-year employee of the Star Tribune.
On Dec. 1, 1945, Kenneth married Louise M. Littfin, formerly of Winsted, at St. Ann's Church in Minneapolis.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Verna Roeger; and brothers, Cliff, Earl and Lloyd.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Louise; a daughter, Mary Gapinski and husband, Gary; a grandson, Adam; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Peterson and Marietta Littfin; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, April 12, 1999, 11 a.m., at St. Clement's Church, Minneapolis. The Rev. Earl C. Simonson of St. Clement's and the Rev. William O'Neill of University of St. Thomas concelebrated the Mass.
Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Winsted, Minn. Pallbearers were Mark, Michael, and Charles Littfin; Jack Roeger, and Kenneth Finke and Adam Gapinski.
