Agnes Theresa Schultz obituary, 2/5/2000


Agnes Theresa Schultz, age 87 of Winsted, died Saturday,
Feb. 5, 2000, at St. Mary’s Care Center.
Agnes was born in Winsted Feb. 12, 1912, the daughter of
Joseph and Anna Kegler Kohler.
On June 10, 1936, Agnes was joined in holy marriage to
Floyd Schultz at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted, with the Rev. Wey
officiating. God blessed their marriage with four children.
Agnes was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church
and belonged to the St. Anne’s Society.
She also enjoyed playing cards in the Chix-Chix Club.
Survivors include her husband Floyd; children: Joan C.
Schoen of New Hope, Mary Jane (Jim) Zelenak of Brooklyn Park, Don J. (Joyce)
Schultz, and Karen A. Schultz, all of Winsted; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death
by a brother, William Kohler; and a sister, Lorena Vealetzek.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2 p.m.,
at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the
celebrant and Lavon Kielkucki was the organist for the Mass. Interment followed
at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called at the church one hour prior to the Mass
on Tuesday.
Susan Cannon, Nancy Knobbe, Tracy Schultz, Jennifer Scherping,
Michele Zelenak and Linda Zelenak served as the casket bearers.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
