Bernadette Marie Stoll obituary, 7/30/2000


Bernadette Marie Stoll, age 78 of Howard Lake, died Sunday,
July 30, 2000, at the Buffalo Hospital, Buffalo, Minn.
Bernadette was born Nov. 11, 1921, at Waverly, Minn., the
daughter of Herman and Rose Kunde. She was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church, Waverly; and confirmed as an adult, in the Lutheran faith, at St.
James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake, on June 5, 1949, by the Rev. Theo. Melinat.
On April 27, 1947, Bernadette was united in marriage to
Willis J. Stoll at Fort Snelling, St. Paul.
Bernadette enjoyed reading and doing embroidery work.
At the time of her death, she had reached the age of 78
years, eight months, and 19 days.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her parents, Herman
and Rose Kunde; her husband, Willis; and one daughter, Rose Lee Willms.
She is survived by her son, David Sale and his wife, Maryetta,
of Howard Lake; son-in-law, Smokey (George) Swenson of Minneapolis; son,
Joe Stoll and wife, Donna, of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Fred Stoll and wife, Paula,
of Waverly; son, Earl Stoll and wife, Darlene, of Howard Lake; daughter,
Jane and husband, Bill Goepferd, of Henning; daughter, Shirley and husband,
Rick Scheuble, of Montrose; and son, Jerome Stoll and wife, Carolyn, of
Howard Lake.
She is further survived by a brother, Fred Kunde of St.
Louis Park; a sister, Dorothy Feber and husband, Jerry, of San Jose, Calif.;
a brother-in-law, Martin Stoll and wife, Grace, of Howard Lake; 24 grandchildren;
numerous great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of relatives and
friends.
Services were Wednesday, Aug. 2, at St. James Lutheran
Church, Howard Lake, with the Revs. Michael Nirva and G. C. Michael officiating.
The organist was Nancy Butterfass. Interment was at the St. James Cemetery
on Dutch Lake.
Pallbearers were Scott Sale, Jeff Stoll, Ward Willms, Tammy
Oestreich, Debbie Stoll, Lisa Swanson, Alan Scheuble, and Terry Stoll. Bernadette’s
remaining grandchildren were honorary pallbearers.
Arrangements were by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard
Lake.
