Virginia Lois “Jenny” Williams obituary 2/16/99


Virginia Lois “Jenny” Williams, age 75 of Winsted,
died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999 at her residence.
Jenny was born in Missouri on Jan. 13, 1924, the daughter
of Lloyd and Sarah “Tillie” Kepischke Brown. She was joined in
holy marriage to James P. Williams at the base chapel of Camp McCoy, Wis.
God blessed their marriage with six children.
For 17 years, Jenny was employed as a cook at the Blue
Note Supper Club in Winsted. She later worked part-time at Sterner Lighting
Systems.
Jenny was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted
and also belonged to the auxiliary of American Legion Post # 407.
Survivors include her husband James P. Williams; children:
Kathy Marie Williams of Virginia, Karen Ann Williams of Washington, Charlotte
Virginia (Ed) Massengale of Georgia, Carol Jean Williams of Nebraska, Ronald
James (Roylene) Williams of Brownton, and Robin Mary Williams of Shorewood;
nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by three sisters: Nova, Eleanor,
and Emma; other relatives and many friends.
Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother,
Jim.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, Feb. 19, 10:30 a.m.,
at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the
celebrant and Lavon Kielkucki was the organist for the Mass. Interment was
at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted on
Thursday, Feb. 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. A parish prayer service was held at the
chapel on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Serving as casket bearers were Jason Williams, Shelby Williams,
Chris Bulau, Jack Swenson, Jim Condon, and Corey Kegler.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
