Robert Leland “Wolfie” Wolfram obituary 6/30/99

Robert Leland “Wolfie” Wolfram, age 84 of Watertown
and formerly of Howard Lake and Winsted, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999.
Robert, better known as “Wolfie,” was born at
Grey Eagle, Minn. May 29, 1915, to Louis and Ida (Markuson) Wolfram. He
became independent at an early age, traveling around and living in many
places including “south of the border,” where he developed his
taste for tacos.
He made Howard Lake, Minn. his home for many years until
his move to St. Mary’s Apartments in Winsted where he lived until May 24,
1994. He then resided at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown until God called
him home.
While at Elim, Wolfie was very active in resident council,
acting as president of the council for the past five years until he recently
resigned due to health issues. He was always actively involved at Elim with
his many skills; his cooking abilities were at the top of the list.
Wolfie’s last wish in life was to live long enough to see
the new wing at Elim be dedicated and opened, which came true in December
1998.
Wolfie served in the U. S. Army from Feb. 26, 1941 to Aug.
23, 1945 and was an active member of the American Legion in Cokato, Minn.
Robert “Wolfie” Leland Wolfram touched many lives
and many hearts and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Fla.; nieces: Carol and George Kurilla of Bloomington, Esther Morgan of

from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Friday, July 2, 1999. A funeral service followed
at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Mulvihill, chaplain at Elim, officiating.
Interment was in the Watertown Community Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.
