June M. Malone
June M. Malone, age 78 of Buffalo, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at the Ebenezer Covenant Home.
She was born June 22, 1922, in rural Buffalo, the daughter of Charles "Charlie" and Emily (Elsenpeter) Marquette.
On March 11, 1947, June and Herbert Malone were joined in holy marriage. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Diana.
The Malones lived in California and Washington for many years. June worked at Lockheed Aircraft, and also at a hospital in Van Nuys, Calif.
In earlier years, June enjoyed bowling and playing Bridge with her friends. She also loved crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, reading and gardening
The Malones moved to Buffalo in 1993. Herbert preceded his wife in death on Sept. 2, 1996.
June is survived by her daughter: Diana (Doug) Remer of Howard Lake; grandchildren: Charlie, Holly, Daniel, Beth, John and Luke Remer; her mother, Emily Marquette of Buffalo; a sister and brothers, Laura (Harold) Spike of St. Michael, Morris Marquette of Hemet, Calif., and Dan (Ardis) Marquette of Buffalo; a sister-in-law, Eleanore Marquette of Buffalo; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, June was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Norman C. Marquette; and a sister-in-law, Helen Marquette.
A memorial service took place Tuesday, Dec.1, 7 p.m., at the Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, with the Rev. Paul L. Wolf of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted, officiating. The hymns were "Amazing Grace-How Sweet the Sound" and "Be Not Afraid."
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
